Dr. Jennifer Page, professor with the New England Institute, has a lot to celebrate these days. Dr. Page, who has been teaching at Bangor High School for 5 years, recently accepted a new position with the Hurricane Island Foundation, where she will serve as their Education Coordinator. Dr. Page will provide experiential, hands-on education programs and research opportunities focusing on marine sciences, STEAM education, human ecology, sustainable living technology, citizen science initiatives, and leadership in environmental stewardship for all ages from middle school to adults.
During her time at Bangor High School Dr. Page devoted much of her “free time” to coaching the debate team, who themselves have much to celebrate as one of their juniors, Nick Danby, won the national debate championship in the category of congressional debate, and the team was named one of 20 Debate Schools of Excellence in the country. All of us here at the New England Institute wish Dr. Page the best of luck in her new position, and congratulate Bangor High School on its successful run at the national debate competition!
